The issue that we want to address is the need to develop a nutritious meal menu for children under five years old. The status of the nutrition issues for children under 5: - The rate of malnourished children in Vietnam under 5 is high compared to the world. - The prevalence of overweight children in large cities of Vietnam is 6%, higher than the Asian and developed countries average. Besides, the rate of children have other nutrition issues also is high. - In Vietnam, one in four children is still suffering from stunting (low height compared to age). The prevalence of anemia in children under 5 years of age was 29.2%, pre-clinical vitamin A deficiency was 14.2%, zinc deficiency (81.2%), vitamin D deficiency (53.7% in rural areas, 62% , 1% in the city). In particular, children's diets only meet 60.3% of calcium requirements and 10.6% of recommended vitamin D needs, while these are important micronutrients that help children grow and healthy. Vitamin D deficiency and low calcium intake are the main problems affecting the physical and health of Vietnamese children. With this idea, we want to help the children with nutritional problems under 5 years old and their parents who have difficulties finding a reasonably well-structured meal plan that ensures kid’s development.
